I bought Colorbind because I love Monospace, by the same author, and thought this too might be reasonably diverting, albeit not to the same degree as the other.
Put Colorbind in 2x iPad mode and put it on a table with other puzzle-minded friends, and soon theyll be "helping" you, then drawing ribbons on the screen themselves, humorously berating each other over bad solutions and dead ends, and celebrating every Easy victory. For extra fun, choose friends who are bad at the game, and be bad at it yourself.
Some things I would like to see change:
1. Only bug weve seen so far is that you cant grab a ribbon whose terminus currently lies under another.
2. Frequently, two players would try to draw separate ribbons at the same time; this does not work. It would be nice to only count double-tap in the same place and to let more than one ribbon be drawn at the same time.
3. A little more time to observe the final result. It became part of our strategy to seek aesthetically pleasing solutions, as aesthete is more likely to yield a correct solution, but theres no time to see your final result once youve finished. You might say that you can stop just before the final dot, but once someone at the table sees the solution, theres no stopping for such considerations.
4. Not at all necessary, since the graphics at 2x are perfectly acceptable, but an iPad version would be nice, if only to emphasize the qualities of the game at the bigger screen size.
